Jim Overbey's trip to Florida as part of the Wandering Wheels
group: February 5th thru the 15th was great time...started at Cocoa
Beach and made it to Key West. Fun was a major topic...then went to Texas
for a beer at Lukenbach...it was a Lone Star...didn't see Lance...oh,
well...
Florida was great and Wandering Wheels led a wonderful trip under the
leadership of Bob Davenport...3 time All-American from UCLA...anyway, he is
now 71 and try to catch him if you can! The roads and trails were
great...winding down A1A beside the Emerald Coast thru Miami...camping in
luxury, staying in a few churches...and a few motels...traveling thru the
Keys and drinking a little beer...eating one or two frozen chocolate covered
key lime pies on a stick...eating broiled grouper, mahi-mahi and other fresh
fish (gained weight on this one)...met great people...we were the Fab 5
from the coast to coast trip taken in '05-and had a great reunion...
Vicki from Arizona is riding across every state in the Union...Florida
Jim (our guide), me, Dan the Mountain Man from Indiana and California
Gary-an acoustical engineer who rides like the wind...(a bad headwind), ha!
